The World's Happiest (And Saddest) Countries - Christopher Helman - Forbes
Wrong adjectives, Forbes. This should be entitled “The Most Stable/Richest and Least Stable/Poorest Countries”.
Something to that effect. Simply because happiness cannot be quantified using numbers, and it cannot be used to describe a country based on its annual GDP, vaccination rates and state of education. Happiness is not about statistics—it’s about the sense of fulfillment despite change and hardship…it’s the smile behind every heartbreak.
Ask the people from the most stable country if they can laugh as easily as we poor Filipinos can. And if they say yes, I shall shut up and move on.
I know this is Forbes and it’s supposed to define happiness in terms of money…but using “happiness” in this context is just plain wrong.
